Description

Omnidirectional UHF Antenna
Key facts 225 MHz to 450 MHz Omnidirectional UHF antenna system for naval applications The R&S®AD033V3 is an omnidirectional UHF antenna system for naval applications. It covers the frequency range from 225 MHz to 450 MHz. The antenna can be used for transmitting purposes as well as for receiving only. Eight vertically polarized dipoles circularly arranged around a center support structure are combined to one output, which results in an excellent omnidirectional behavior. The R&S®AD033V3 can fit around mast diameters of up to 670 mm. As the antenna is delivered as two pre-fitted half-shells, mounting to existing masts is quite easy. Even a refitting to existing ship structures is possible. If required, several of these antennas can be stacked on top of each other. Also other antennas can be mounted on top or even between separate R&S®AD033V3 units for Rx and Tx use. Furthermore the antenna (internal structures as well as the radomes) has been designed to reduce the RCS (Radar Cross Section) value. The R&S®AD033V3 is protected against lightning by DC grounding (all metal parts are galvanically connected).
