Description

Transmitter measurements on WLAN 802.11a/g OFDM signals with the Signal Analyzer R&S FSP
Key Facts The Application Firmware R&S® FSP-K90 expands the application range of the Signal Analyzers R&S® FSP by spectrum and modulation measurements on OFDM signals in accordance with the WLAN standard IEEE 802.11a/g. It offers a cost-effective measurement solution especially for production. In contrast to FSQ-K90/-K91 a reduced number of measurements is carried out optimized for production needs. All functions can be operated manually or programmed via GPIB.
  • Frequency range: 9 kHz to 3/7/13/30/40 GHz
  • Analysis at the RF
  • Supports 801.11a, 802.11g (OFDM)
  • Very low residual EVM of -43/-41 dB

General Information
  • Application Firmware R&S FSP-K90 supports the following standard-conforming measurements:
    • Output power
    • Spectrum mask with limit lines and PASS/FAIL display
    • Spectrum flatness (including display of group delay)
    • Constellation error (EVM, unit dB and %)
    • RF carrier leakage (IQ offset)
    • Carrier frequency and symbol clock error
    • ACP measurement
  • It also supports further evaluations for more in-depth analysis:
    • Constellation diagram
    • Constellation overview for measured carriers
    • EVM for individual carriers
    • EVM versus symbols or time
    • Time-gated spectrum (FFT) and time-gated CCDF
    • Bit stream (demodulated RF, no channel decoding)
    • Analysis at the RF, IF or inverted sideband
    • Selectable tracking (phase, timing, level)
  • Residual EVM Application Firmware R&S® FSP-K90 allows users to select whether channel estimation is performed during the preamble part of the signal (as specified in the standard) or during the preamble and data part (improved residual EVM).
